Web Design
My design skills are versatile. I create designs based on client preferences and needs, always considering the target audience and goals of each client. I use the most current techniques and styles to make your website look its best. Web design is a critical part of any business, as it serves as the face of each company. Your website may be the first thing your client sees, so you need to make a good first impression.
Web Development
Web development is the stage where you take a design and make it into a functional website. I convert designs into working websites using the most current technology, including XHTML, CSS, and Java Script. I will make sure your website works in a variety of browsers.
CMS Integration
Content management systems allow the owner of the website to easily update information in the site. I can integrate your website into a content management system and provide basic training and support to help you learn how to use it.
Consultation
During this stage, I learn about your company, the status of any existing website, and your overall goals. I will obtain information regarding your preferences for color schemes, images, and other content. Obtaining this information is critical as it lays the foundation for the next steps. Maybe you have an existing website that just needs an updated design or integration into a content management system. Maybe you need a new website. Whatever your needs, we use this stage to establish your requirements.
Information Architecture
Once requirements are established, we will create your website’s architectural structure, which defines all user interaction that will occur on your site. For example, we will determine site navigation, menu buttons, form interaction, and other features that the user will experience.
Design
Using information you provided during the consultation phase, I set out to create your design. I will provide several design options and collaborate with you to determine which design elements best fit your needs. This phase is collaborative, so communication is important. At the end of this process, you will have a final design that can be turned into a website during the development phase.
Development
During this phase, the design is turned into a working website. This website is either a plain HTML website or a website built on a content management system. Either way, your site will be developed using the most current W3C requirements and will work on a variety of browsers. At the end of this stage, vigorous quality assurance procedures ensure that your website is working properly.
